In 2023–2024, GREENEVA conducted a comprehensive climate change projection study for the northern coastal region of Central Java (Pantura), applying outputs from Global Climate Models (GCMs) to generate robust, science-based insights for the study area.

The analysis was grounded in datasets from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6, which underpin the Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Climate projections were developed using Shared Socio-Economic Pathways (SSPs), enabling the assessment of multiple future scenarios reflecting different emissions trajectories and socio-economic developments.

To enhance the reliability of precipitation analysis, GREENEVA utilized high-resolution daily rainfall data from CHIRPS Version 2.0.

Through this approach, GREENEVA delivered a scientifically rigorous and context-specific climate projection, providing stakeholders with actionable insights to support climate risk assessment, coastal resilience planning, and long-term development strategies in the Pantura region.
